Best Pizza in Little Rock, some of the worst service in Little Rock. Get ready to wait 10mins standing at the counter to pay and even have people insult you if you ask to be helped after 5mins of watching them ignore you. (several experiences combined)

very slow service. took forever to even get a draft beer. one guy at our party did not get his food until everyone else ate their pizza. pizza was good though.

Probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had... and to find it in Little Rock of all places. The joint is small and intimate, which is good during off hours, but I can imagine it would be tough to navigate during prime time. The dining room is upstairs, which seemed to add to the ambiance. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, so the service was perfect; we even got to select our own soundtrack. Ambiance aside, the pizza was spectacular. Not only was the menu incredibly innovative (with a "color wheel" of pizza sauces), but everything we tried tasted incredible. There are 4 main pizza sauces: a red, a white, an Alfredo, and a pesto, then there are 4 "secondary" sauces that are combinations of the above. As an app we had the Fred bread, which is as delectable as it sounds it would be on the menu (and I'm not that huge of a tomato fan). Then you can choose from one of the suggested pizzas or create your own. We opted for both. The pizza toppings were perfect and the cheese(s) were melted to an ooey gooeyness that one expects from a top notch pizza. The hand tossed crust was cooked just perfectly: it was golden brown with just a light snappy crispness, and the inside was light and puffy with a slight doughiness. This would be a place I'd frequent if I lived in Little Rock.

Just to lay a foundation; I regularly eat out (I travel the country constantly) and I always review on Yelp! If you read my reviews (and who wouldn't?) You will see both good and bad, so you will know my opinion is correct and very useful (patting myself on thee back etc.). So you will surely get some good info here. First off, the dining room is upstairs, so if you can't climb stairs may I recommend take out. Secondly, PBR (don't you dare call it Pabst) as of today us only a Buck! Thirdly, service is fantastic. Speedy drink delivery and refills on soft drinks. The menu is original and humorous. Read it and smile. But the important thing on the menu is the options. Vegetarian? No problem (except you are missing out on the joy of life). Like spicy? They got you covered! Meat lover? You lucky dog, they got you well covered! They have choices in sauces! Choose from the sauce colorwheel! Appetizers are delicious. I would eat here every chance I get! Oh yeah, you jerks who work for or own competitor's restaurants, shut the heck up and work on improving your own slop. It is very inappropriate to rate someone else poorly in order to try to boost your own Better to praise a competitor and show real class instead of knocking them and showing that you are a real horses a**!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't crowded at all (heard it gets busy late). The waiter was really nice and helpful in choosing what we wanted, got our beers (craft selection available) really quickly. The food took a little longer, but it was worth the wait - the pink sauce supreme was delicious. Fair prices, good beer, friendly service, and awesome pizza - what else could you want?

OMG! That about sums it up... Been here twice in a week and want one more time before heading home. Food: DynoooMite! Atmosphere: laid back Service: excellent What was ordered: 14" 1/2 Hog and 1/2 BBQ chicken, kids cheese, kids pepperoni, lemonade. Adult beverages: the Ace of Hops IPA ***** stars, El Hefe **** stars Overall: can't beat this spot down here! Excellent service, food and beverage

Hungry after a days worth of travelling, we needed something convenient. I'm glad we chose Damgoode! Fresh ingredients, great specialty pizzas. I like that they have the 6" and 10" options. You can easily please everyone with their own pizza! The delivery took about an hour - but was well worth the wait.

Damgoode Pies is my go-to pizza place. If you can't find a pizza to suit your tastes here, you just don't like good pizza. I especially like the fact that you can build your own pizza off the menu including choice of crust (I like thin) and sauces (pink is my favorite). You can also add to or change an existing pizza and not get any flack from the waitstaff. They have an excellent selection of beers and always have $1 PBR's.

Sadly, the pie was not as damn good as I had been led to expect. I don't think that the problem was delivery vs dine-in, as the pizza was still almost hot when I received it. The problem was simply a general blandness. On my garden supreme (minus the olives) half of the toppings were undetectable. My eyes could see spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms, but my taste buds could not; for some reason, only the onions and green peppers registered. The sauce was a-okay and I really liked the crust, but the cheese was also mostly tasteless. Overall, it was all right, but disappointing after studiously researching all possible pizza options in Little Rock and choosing Damgoode. Delivery was quoted at 60 minutes and clocked in at 75, mildly annoying but not catastrophic. At least the driver came all the way up to my hotel room. I was expecting to have to meet him in the lobby, so thanks for the extra effort, my man. I'll take any opportunity to forego donning pants.

The pizza was good - I liked the pink sauce and hand-tossed crust. We ordered a mushroom and pepperoni pizza: the toppings were of good quality but I wish they had been more liberally applied. I was excited for the razorback buns (garlic bread with bacon, jalapenos, and cheese) but was underwhelmed.

Let me first start by saying that this is some of the better pizza I have had in Little Rock. Secondly let me state that this review is for the "take-out" option. As I've not dined at the establishment that is Damgoode Pies. Never disappointed with the pizza. I've had a few varieties of there pizzas. They're very consistent with their creation, and the pizzas come out delish every time. Honestly, that's about all I have. Hahaha. I mean I call in, I hit the storefront, I'm rung up by a courteous individual (take in the awesome "Swag" photo of Bill Cosby while I wait), and roll. I've had a quick and decent experience every time. When I feel the need for good pizza, and I'm willing to make the drive from Sherwood. This is one of the few places that I'm willing to make the trip.

Pretty sure the waiter was inflicted with an extra chromosome, we saw him like once every 20 minutes and we were there forever. He messed up the order and check. The table was wobbly and annoying. Pizza 5/10 not too special. Over-priced out the wazoo. Expected much better.

I love Damgoode, their red and pink sauce are just awesome. And the dollar PBR is always a nice treat!

Great pizzas. Great prices. I've had the Spicy Five, Supreme, and the Shrimp Pesto pizzas from this place. This place and Grady's are probably neck-and-neck. The only reason I choose this place more often is because it's closer to where I live. Little Rock must be a Papa John's/Domino's town because every person I've recommended DG Pies to had never heard of it.

My favorite pizza ever, and No, I am not a native Arkansan who is just saying that because they've never lived in a pizza frenzied city! Personally, I say skip the stuffy: if you're expecting true Chicago style yums, you'll be disappointed. But for a classic, thick crust pizza, Damgoode can't be beat. The atmosphere is about as casual as it gets without being in a bar, and don't expect fast service if you dine-in --the Hillcrest location is much better than the Cantrell location about speed, though. I've also seen the customers at the Kavanaugh location get a bit rowdy -beer pyramids and drunk groups of med students can only be expected when PBRs are only a $1- but since I don't have young, impressionable kids, I think that's part of it's charm. I could go on for days singing the praises of the food. My husband and I combined have tried literally everything on the menu. Our fave pizzas are: the Artie, the spicy five, the shrimp pesto and the hog. For sauce, you can't go wrong with tomato basil or pink, but pesto and spicy white are close contenders. If you're really hungry, fred bread or razorback buns are the best apps. Finally, everyone always talks about US Pizza's ranch dressing, but they must be taking crazy pills - Damgoode's ranch is crack sauce. I was never a ranch on pizza person until I tried Damgoode's ranch. I would try to eat a brick if you dipped it in Damgoode ranch. All in all, the best pizza in town, just don't go in expecting expedient service -the servers may not be fast, but at least they're always friendly!

Ordered a pepperoni pizza to go - and when I got home and opened it, I saw that each slice had one pepperoni, with the exception of a slice that had two pepperonis on it. The pizza tasted good, but c'mon. Whoever sent that out owes me some pepperoni. It was the saddest pepperoni pizza I've ever seen.

I don't live in Little Rock but I would never go to the city without hitting Damgoode Pies on Kavanaugh. I have brought dozens of people there over the past 15 years or so!! Their pepperoni is something to get happy over. I only wish they had a Denver location. Always a happy customer here!

The only thing that would make Damgoode better to me is if they would add a location closer to my house in North Little Rock. Really miss being right around the corner from a location. They have great specialties, great 'build your own', great variety of crusts, sauces, and toppings. Even the salads are great. Truly Damgoode.

The Pizza is 5-Stars! I only give it 4-stars because it's not exactly upscale dining. Right across the street is US Pizza which has ok pizza but has a killer patio area to enjoy on a nice evening or afternoon. But if you're looking for good pizza, Damgoode Pies is the best in Little Rock and the best in many places I've traveled. My personal favorite pizza is the Greek, add Pepperoni with the spicey white sauce. Yum. There is a nice little park just a 3 minute walk away, get it to go and walk down the park for some fine "patio" dining.

Gotta say I was let down. Saw all the high reviews. After seeing pics online i Was expecting Chicago style Allah Giordano's... NOPE! The service was subpar...maybe cuz it was Memorial Day? The hot wangz I ordered were spicy but quite soggy & fatty. Thank god I only ordered 6! Than our stuffed mushrooms came out. & home girl says "I'm so sorry but I burnt your mushrooms! Sorry my bad!" Really? Peeps still say that? & at a restaurant no less? To her credit she offered to make us some new ones or take them off the check... I went for the latter as I had a plane to catch. The mushrooms were ok. Not sure if it was cuz they where burnt or because they were just "meh-dieocre" So so far not impressed with the "opening acts" But still being patient as the star of the show was still warming up on stage. I ordered a 10" Stuffy with white sauce Spinach, Mushrooms, ricotta cheese, sun dried tomatoes & chicken on 1/2 of the pizza. Well it took 4ever. It said it would take 20mins longer as it is a deep dish style pizza... So I waited...figuring it would be worth it just like every other deep Dish pizza I've had in my life...WRONG! It looked great when it came out. But again the chic was like "hey I 4got what side I put the chicken on..Sorry...I think it was on the left side?..." REALLY?! It a F*#cking pizza!! How are we supposed to decipher which side is the left side?! She kind of motioned around the pie with her finger In a circular motion... I'm like O_o Well sure enuff my girlfreind the vegetarian bit into a HUGE chunk of chicken! (Pwah pwah) & me the meat eater got to bite into a hot yet not too tasty pizza. It was rather insipid... Too much spinach not enough ricotta says I! The sauce however was spicy & the crust was quite tasty... Just too bad the rest was not too pallet able. We had left over pizza & when they offered to box it up we said "No thank you" I can't remember a time when I left pizza on the table! I plan on giving it another go sometime in the future but the 1st impression of this place is not so good. 2 & 1/2 stars.

Some I the best pizza we have had! That is also saying a lot coming from two people that live in Chicago (where pizza dominates). The wings were juicy and the barbecue pizza was incredible. Best part about the food was the crust- just perfect! Our waitress was a doll as well. Only negative thing was that the Greek salad could use more veggies and less croutons. Also, allow yourself some time while eating here because the pizza does take a while to cook. Overall we left very impressed and very full!

I've never really been disappointed with Damgoode. They truly deliver on their namesake - damn good pies. I recently ordered a custom pizza with hand tossed crust, tomato basil sauce, char-grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and pine nuts - topped with mozzarella and feta cheeses. Delicious!

We went solely based on yelp reviews. It was not a disappointment at all. The pink sauce is amazing. I had the Mable, uh--it was ok, my mom enjoyed it. My oldest son had a meatball sub and youngest had a stuffed pepperoni, which he devoured. But to me the best part was the appetizer with the pink sauce. One thing: this place is not handicapped accessible. My mom struggled walking up steep stairs to the dining in area.

Tried again. Live 2 miles away from Kavanaugh location, 3 miles away from Cantrell location. Feel safe in assuming "we don't deliver south of 630" means "we don't think people in your kind of neighborhood tip". So much money has gone gone to Pizza Hut & Papa John's since we had the baby. All I want to do is eat food that's ridiculously bad for me and support my local economy, but I guess I'll eat the Green Giant mixed vegetables and freezer burnt shrimp since I can't carry the baby in one hand & the car seat in the other. Thanks for leaving me $20 more for the kids college fund. (Jk... that $ is going straight to Gingerbread lattes. She's smart though; she'll manage.)

I love pizza. I would say its my favorite food. I definitely appreciate the small "hole-in-the-wall" places that can pull off a great tasting pizza. This is one of those type of places. At first glance the place looks like a small carryout/delivery place...but alas, the seating is upstairs! Small, but effective, I can see how it can fill fast. While we were there they had to tell people to come back because there were no seats! (Good that its busy but unfortunate at the same time) The menu is quirky and funny with a lot of word play and funny sayings. My favorite one says that it has what Popeye likes to eat, spinach and Olive Oil...hahaha. It was worth it to come just to read the menu, ask for the drink one too! Besides that, the food was amazing. Some yelpers said try some bread appetizers, and I second that! We had the razorback bread and it was awesome! Same thing for pizza, I couldn't decide so I ordered two 6 inch ones people recommended... both were delicious! The pink sauce was my favorite, I wish I could just buy it seperately by the gallons, lol. Long story short, if my travels bring me to Little Rock again, I know I can come here for some DAMN GOOD PIES!

LOL so I'd just like to say as leftovers, I enjoyed this pizza alot more then I enjoyed it yesterday. Maybe it was because of the temperature, but it really hit the spot today.

That lady is an idiot. This location is where it all started for the best pizza in Arkansas. We started coming after pie squared became easys then damgoode. Jeff is a cool guy and the pizza was great and he gave us free pbr's. Pink stuffy is insanely good. It's got an eclectic, funky atmosphere so if you want normal you can do US pizza (also good) but the best is damgoode.

  • R P.

It's OK - though I tried the pasta and not pizza - maybe that is better. Their pasta needs a bit more seasoning (salt). Their breadsticks were flat and again, needed more flavor. I also ordered the cheesecake but they forgot to add the strawberries. food came on time, but the i should have paid $25 and gotten a hotel meal.

Damgoode is amazing. Everything about Damgoode is superior to any other pizza in Central Arkansas and as far as I've tasted, in the nation! Damgoode improved all the great aspects of Pie Squared and presented us with pizzeria greatness. I am now a pizza snob and rarely eat anything other than Damgoode. When I do eat other pizza, I am left feeling depressed and confused, longing for the perfection of Damgoode's pizzas. The stuffy is my favorite and dominates anything else you've tasted. The pink sauce is just brilliant. The dough is great and the toppings are always fresh. The salads are very good and not overwhelming, like some. The service is always pleasant at both locations, although I prefer the Hillcrest location for its lack of children and the superior music playlist while I nosh on my pizza. They are not lighting fast, but this pizza is definitely worth the wait and helps build the anticipation for the ridiculous pizza experience ahead.

As a pizza lover who travels a lot, I am always looking for the best pizza in whatever city I happen to find myself in. I saw the good reviews for Damgoode and had to try it. The place kinda defines hole in the wall with little parking and a small seating area upstairs, but my experience is that most of the best places to eat are holes in the wall. The staff is very friendly, the service is great and the menu diverse, especially when it comes to the most important thing - the pizza! They have 3 styles of crust, 8 types of sauce and numerous toppings. The pizza is very good. I got the Hog, which is their meat lovers pizza on their hand tossed crust. Plenty of toppings and a nice balance of sauce, cheese. A very tasty pizza! Definitely the best pizza I have had in Little Rock. I will make this a regular stop every time I am in town. And....they have $1 PBR's for the beer drinkers!

This is what a perfect Sunday afternoon looks like. Pizza, PBR, and a side of pink sauce at one of the tables upstairs at Damgoode. The service is friendly and prompt to refresh your beer, what more do you need. Seriously, some of the best pizza around.

This is THE pizza spot everyone told me about when I moved to Little Rock and it has not disappointed. The food is great, the service is wonderful, and even their menu's wit is good for a few chuckles. The Supreme is a beast of a pie that never lets me down, and you can't go wrong with the breadsticks either.

sorry I got upset- not too often the owner of a restaurant sends me unkind words bc of my honest reviews...hey if us pizza stopped using baco's on their salads maybe that be a start...disregard what the crazy lady sez on this page.

    (5)
  • Travis R.

This place is a local favorite, so I wanted to try it out. It is good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it really deserves the hype (I definitely don't think it's "damgoode"). The seating area is upstairs and out of sight which makes the service a little slower than I like it to be. And parking can be difficult during busy times. Personally, I like U.S. Pizza better. Damgoode has better sauce choices; U.S. Pizza has a few more toppings. So go with what you like! Friendly staff and good location in Hillcrest make this place worth the trip. Definitely better service than the U.S. Pizza across the street!

  • Candice S.

This is the best pizza in LR for sure. I highly recommend the hand tossed crust with pink sauce (their regular red sauce mixed with spicy white). it's magical. their salads are delicious...no iceberg and bacos here. service is usually decent and they have a pretty good beer selection. love the tiny dining room, but sometimes it's hard to find a good seat during rush hour.

straight up pizza, tasty and consistent. could use a little remodeling but hey just order to go. way better than pizza hut, papa johns or dominoes.

If you're looking for a place to go watch sports on t.v. and have a pretty good pizza Damgoode is all right. The servers go out of their way to make your pizza just right. They work very hard.
